Description

This is an OFFICIAL AMERICAN LEAGUE (Brown) Baseball signed by Ford Frick Baseball Hall of Famer, 1946 World Series Champion, member of the Cardinals Hall of Fame and former Cardinals, Pirates, Cubs and Giants catcher JOE GARAGIOLA in black pen. The signature rates an 8.5/10. The ball itself is moderately toned and spotted throughout. Please look at pictures for further detail. I am happy to send/post more pictures upon request, if needed. DID YOU KNOW? Garagiola grew up on Elizabeth Avenue in an Italian-American neighborhood , just across the street from Yogi Berra , his childhood friend and competitor, who was nine months older. When Garagiola and Berra were teenagers in the early 1940s, almost all pro baseball scouts rated Garagiola as the better prospect. Still, it was Berra who went on to a Hall of Fame career, while Garagiola was a journeyman. About living across the street from Berra during their youth, Garagiola often quipped, "Not only was I not the best catcher in the Major Leagues, I wasn't even the best catcher on my street!" Garagiola died in 2016 at age 90. This ball comes with a JSA COA card and sticker affixed to the ball. This ball was originally purchased through a reputable auction house and I will GUARANTEE THE AUTHENTICITY of the signature with a FULL money back promise if PSA or JSA happens to think otherwise. I have been collecting, buying and selling baseball autographs for close to 40 years and am considered an expert in the field. Take a look at the photos, consider my 100% POSITIVE feedback and BID WITH CONFIDENCE. Please also take a look at my other auctions for more great signed baseballs! I price ALL of my baseballs to SELL...usually lower priced than all other comparable balls on eBay at the time of listing (seriously...check it out!). I do list with a "Best Offer" option as again, I am here to SELL these balls, even though I feel my initial pricing is fair. If you have a reasonable amount in mind, please send an offer. Worst thing that could happen is for me to decline the offer. If I counter the offer, it means we're close...let's work together to make it happen. Thanks for looking! Brandon
